INTRODUCING THE NEW AXLE BOX: LIGHTWEIGHT AND DIRT-FREE!
Tilbox has reinvented the classic axle box. We bid farewell to the outer shell and introduced several new product innovations. Removing the outer shell allowed us to create a lighter toolbox. Curious about the other innovations? Keep reading to find out!
AN INNOVATIVE AXLE BOX WITH CLEAN SLIDE RAILS
At Tilbox, we strive for continuous product innovation with an eye to the future. We regularly ask our customers for feedback. Thanks to these inspiring input sessions, we discovered
that dirt was getting trapped in the toolbox’s slide rails sometimes. In the long run, this could have a negative impact on the quality and longevity of the product, which we naturally wanted to avoid. Quality always comes first at Tilbox. So we took this valuable feedback to heart and immediately got to work.
The new axle box now features a hanging drawer. Instead of installing the slide rails at the bottom of the drawer, we installed them at the top, allowing the drawer to effectively hang from the rails. This reduces the risk of dirt build-up, minimises wear and tear, and optimises product quality and operation.
10% LIGHTER WITHOUT EXTERNAL HOUSING
In addition to changing the slide rails, we also removed the external housing. For added sturdiness, the toolbox was fitted with a 3 mm stainless steel mounting plate that also prevents torquing. The drawer itself is made entirely out of 2 mm stainless steel. Without its outer casing, the new axle box is over 10% lighter than the previous version. This contributes to drag reduction, which is better for fuel consumption and the environment!
NO UNNECESSARY CUSTOMISATION THANKS TO THE DEMOUNTABLE STAINLESS STEEL STRIP
Another advantage of the updated version of the axle box is the demountable 4 mm stainless steel strip for chains and shackles. If desired, 6 mm stainless steel chain hooks can be provided at a surcharge, which fit the same grid pattern as the 4 mm strip. This used to be a custom addition but is now included in our standard range, which shortens the delivery time.
STANDARD GRID PATTERN FOR ANTI-SPRAY MATS
At Tilbox, we want to make things as easy as possible for our customers. In addition to strips for chains and shackles, our axle boxes can also be fitted with anti-spray mats. Thanks to the grid pattern, these mats can be installed in minutes!
MORE STORAGE SPACE
The axle box was designed to utilise the space between the axles and is primarily used for storing chains. To maximise the amount of available storage space, the drawer is fully extendible and has a maximum load capacity of 200 kg.
In short, the new axle box has all of the features you've come to love as well as extra specifications that make it more versatile with a lower risk of wear and tear. Win, win, win!
